How To turn Off Facebook Activity on Facebook:

  1. Go to your Facebook profile.
  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings & Privacy.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Select Your Facebook Information.
  6. Select Off-Facebook Activity.
  7. Click Manage Your Off-Facebook Activity.
  8. Click Manage Future Activity.
  9. Toggle Future Off-Facebook Activity to Off.

How To turn off Facebook Activity on Instagram:

  1. Open the Instagram app.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap the three lines in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Select Privacy.
  6. Select Activity.
  7. Select Activity Off Meta Technologies.
  8. Toggle Disconnect Future Activity to On.

Remove Apps and Websites from Your Activity Log

Facebook and Instagram also track your activity on the platforms themselves. You can review your activity log and remove any apps or websites that you do not want to be tracked.

How To review your activity log on Facebook:

  1. Go to your Facebook profile.
  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings & Privacy.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Select Your Facebook Information.
  6. Select Off-Facebook Activity.
  7. Click Manage Your Off-Facebook Activity.
  8. Click See All Activity.
  9. Click Remove next to the app or website you want to remove.

How To review your activity log on Instagram:

  1. Open the Instagram app.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap the three lines in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Select Privacy.
  6. Select Activity.
  7. Scroll down and tap Activity Log.
  8. Tap Remove next to the app or website you want to remove.
